Our client's enameled gold bandle bracelet in the Etruscan Revival style by Lucien Falize (1837-1897) has a central oval plaque with ivory white enamel strap work and band with berry vines on ivory enamel ground.  With its original gift box stamped with the address of the firm, 45 Avenue de l'Opera, dates from 1871-1882, the operiod in which they operated on the avenue.  This distinguished Paris firm, admired for their designs and use of enamels, was founded by Lucien's father, Alexis Falize (1811-1898).  In the early 1880s the firm merged with Germain Bapst and moved to rue d'Antin.
