Louis XV / XVI Style Gilt Bronze & Green Marble Urns

Unavailable

Our pair of urns in the neoclassical Louis XV/XVI style are crafted from variegated green marble with gilt bronze mounts including prominate ram heads at the shoulder, flowering vine motif at the frieze with beeding above, floral swags, holly vine motif on the round base, and pomegranate finials on the lid.  Apparently unsigned and dating from the early twentieth century.  In good condition, with scratches, rubbing wear and surface dirt.  There is a prominent vertical crack in the body of one urn, but the piece is structurally sound, and another visible but narrower crack in the other urn.  There is a small chip loss to the underside and outer edge of one lid.  Please note these are decorative vases, with bronze mounts covering the tops of the urns.
