Limoges porcelain "Forget-Me-Not" motto mustache mug, circa 1893. Hand painted florals with gold trim. Unmarked except for "355" decorator's mark in gold. Measures 3"h x 3 1/8"d. Some wear to the gold trim, and one tiny flake from the rim of the guard. Sold as is. This is NOT a shaving mug. It was designed to keep the gentleman's mustache from interacting with the hot beverage, as many men used wax on their mustaches at that time. Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
