Alessandro Michelotti Neoclassical Reclining Nude Alabaster Sculpture

Our lovely figure of a reclining female nude in the neoclassical style is signed "Alessandro Michelotti Volterra Italia".  Measures 19.5 by 6.5 by 7 inches.  In good condition.  It would benefit from a gentle cleaning to remove surface dirt and grime.  It is set upon a variegated blue-grey marble plinth with some brown felt underneath. There are nicks, small nicks and hairlines visible in the marble.

Michelotti's works periodically appear to for sale, but little is known about the artist.  Volterra is a smalled, ancient walled village in the Pisa province, southwest of Florence.
