LEOPOLDO DE MEXICO NATIVE INDIAN VASE POTTERY
MATTE FINISH POTTERY VASE WITH ELABORATE ARTISTIC DESIGNS & MOTIFS, CREATED BY LEOPOLDO DE MEXICO . BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF MEXICAN NATIVE INDIGENOUS INDIAN ART. The design is engraved with with grooves filled in with white highlighting a variety of symbols and some areas as you can see filled in with dark brown . The outside surface is left with the natural clay color and has a matt finish. The inside is a glossy pine green.
This vase is not signed however I have seen several identical vases that are signed going for over a $100.00.
MEASURES 5 1/4'' IN HEIGHT, 2 3/4'' ACROSS THE TOP & 11 1/2 " IN DIAMETER AT THE WIDEST POINT.
The condition would be excellent however there is a flea bite on the rim on the top. It does not stand out too much because the red brown clay is the same on the surface as under it. It is priced lower with this consideration.
