Mele Jewelry Box Leatherette Wooden Key
This is a very nice leatherette covered, hardwood hinged jewelry box made in the U.S.A. by "MELE" and so marked on the paper the working key for the lock is attached to. It measures 12.5" x 8" x 3.45" tall. This model has an maroon padded lined interior with various separated section, 2 large sections in the bottom (one black stain noted on the divider), 3 sections in the lower mid-tray, and 6 sections on the upper mid-tray otherwise in very nice shape inside. The leatherette is an off-white, with gold decoration, some minor wear noted, a few edge rubs and small dings, also a slight imperfection in the wood under the leatherette that form two very shallow, almost unnoticeable on the lower smaller side (see photo), otherwise in great shape. All the brass hardware works great, no damage, good latch, good working key comes with this one. A very solid, nicely made jewelry chest!
