Late Nineteenth Century To Early Twentieth Century English "Bird & Basket" Marquetry Grandmother Clock, Weight Driven

Unavailable

Late nineteenth century to early twentieth century English weight driven grandmother clock in the manner of the late seventeenth century examples. Bird and basket marquetry work throughout the front of the clock with a wonderfully hand carved top to the bonnet. Movement is weight driven, striking hours on a heavy cathedral gong with a deep throaty tone. The case work is exceptional, inlaid wonderfully and the mechanics are completely original and in fine working order. The size is perfect for that smaller home or the spot that begs for a smaller piece.

82" height, 13" width, 9 1/2" depth
