Large Old Nemadji Pottery Vase - Earth Tones

Unavailable
Large old Nemadji Pottery vase, in earth tones of oranges, yellows, tans, brown and cream. This handsome vase measures approximately 8 inches high and 7 inches in diameter, and weighs about 3 pounds. Nemadji means "lefthand" in Ojibway, although Nemadji pottery was not produced by Native Americans. It was produced in the Arrowhead region of Minnesota from 1923 to 2002, and was promoted as "reminiscent of ancient Indian pottery." No two pieces are exactly alike. This vase is an excellent example of the pottery, with a glazed interior and unglazed exterior. It is in very good condition, with light surface wear. There are no chips. There is glaze crazing on the inside and a very fine hairline in the very outer layer which looks like a paint line; it does not affect the interior of the vase. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition. Shipping and handling will be $12.50.
