Large oil on canvas by James Charles [English, 1851-1906]. Charles was a member of the Royal Academy, and is a well-listed and highly regarded artist. His works are in major museums. Charles specialized in landscapes and this example, done in 1890, is well-executed and of a highly desirable size. Dimensions: 52" x 40" framed.
