Our very large Kashan jar, Sassasian Empire period or Post-Sassasian, measures 19 3/8 inches tall and 11 inches in diameter.  With six prominent handles and raised snake form motif, and remnants of its original luster glazed finish.

For a similar vase, see lote 71 of Christie's Islamic Sale in London on April 19, 1999, a 19 inch tall post-Sassanian turquoise glazed pottery jar, 6th-8th century, with similar shape, handles and meandering motifs and roundels, offered with an estimate of 2,500-3,500 GBP which closed at 4,830 GBP.
