Large Hopewell Pipe
A large Hopewell Pipe from the Mississippian area. It is one as seen on searches. It is approx 6 x 5 x 2 LWH. It weighs approx 1 1/4 lbs. It is stone and in the image of a hawk. It is a true Museum piece. The Early American Mound people were known for making pipes from stone. This has been in the collection for 50 years that was inherited. Don't really know much else but have seen some similar in museums on the internet.
