This 3-strand faux pearl necklace was made by Kenneth J. Lane.  The gold metal clasp has the initials KJL inside a circle on one side, and the other side is marked KJL and China.  The strands measure 15" -18".  Each pearl is individually knotted, and they all have a lustrous shine.

I understand a similar necklace was made for Barbara Bush for her husband's inauguration ball, and it’s on display in the Smithsonian.
