Jointer Fence Gauge Multi-Adjustable Universal

This is a nice clean 1920's era universal jointer fence, sometime called a jointer gauge. Because it has a double swivel joint it can be used on the side of a hand plane, (you supply the clamps), and or on various drill press, router, or jointer tables. One lever locks both joint, so it's quick and simple. This fence is in very good working order, not damaged, but has some minor casting flaws that appear like pitting on the machine smooth face of the fence, but it is flat and straight, not bent. The mounting slots are for 3/8" bolts, 5-3/4" on center distance between the two slots. The fence working surface is 13" long. The fence can be used on either side of the base if desired, that is with the base bolt flat down on the table, the fence will work on either side of that base, and even allow for an angle to be set either way. It appears it may have originally been made for a small jointer machine, but I can see wear it would have many uses on various machines, or even on hand planes. It weighs 5 lbs. An interesting useful tool!
