John Fray Brace 12 Inch Swing Rosewood Handles

Unavailable

This is a super nice 12" sweep or (swing diameter) brace with beautiful rosewood handles! It is marked "THE JOHN S. FRAY CO. NO. 126 BRIDGEPORT CONN. U.S.A." on the steel. It has a nice polished finish on the metal surfaces, some staining and very small areas of minor pitting noted, mostly on the head handle metal face plate, no rust. The chuck works very smoothly, one of the nicest early designs! The jaws are in great shape also. The ratchet system is in very good working order. The rosewood handles have very little wear, one of the nicest I've seen, in wonderful shape overall! A favorite brace with many chair, and other furniture makers!
