Japanese Repousse Silver Bowl with Chrysanthemum Designs

Unavailable

Our lovely Japanese silver bowl features the repousse designs of chrysanthemum flowers.  Underside has the familiar jungin mark indicating "pure silver" (normally .950 purity), used throughout the Meiji period ending in 1912.  Appears the maker's mark has been obscured.  The foot has been extensively restored and bends and dents remain on the bowl in the region where the bowl meets the foot.  Measures 9.75 inches across and 5.5 inches tall (24.7 by 14 cm) and weighs 2 lbs 8.2 ounces, 40.2 ounces, 36.64 troy ounces, 1141 grams.
