Painting by listed artist James Baker Pyne 1800-1870 who was a UK resident artist famous for European landscapes is 24 inches high, 33 inches wide (frame is 31 1/2 inches high, 40 1/2 inches wide).
Painting is signed lower right "J B Pyne 1860 No 534"
There is an old printed label on the back "Vicars Brothers dealers in High Class Paintings & Drawings Printsellers & Publishers 32 Old Bond St London".
Painting on original wood stretcher is in good condition, not worn, not torn, no holes, nostains, no chips, there is a little cracking / crazing of the paint.
Carved wood and molded jetso / composition frame is in good condition, not broken, not chipped, not loose.
Painting is as acquired from a NY estate, it has not been cleaned or restored.
