A rare and evocative tile depicting three putti hovering around a tall central hourglass; one of them heading up into impressionistic billowing clouds at the top of the tile in the background. The tile is carved in relief and finished in a spectacular green majolica glaze which pools in the lower recesses of the tile; it is in very good condition with a fine, glossy surface. There are a few underglaze frits near the lower edge of the tile near the glaze flake there; there are also a few edge nibble at the top near left; there is also a glaze flake to the left putto's upper wing.
