Orientalist Amphora Ceramic Elephant Figurine

Our Amphora pottery figurine depicting a Middle Eastern gentleman on elephant in the Orientalist style measures approximately 15 inches long and 15 inches wide, and is in good condition.  With impressed mark "1871".  Maker is unknown.  The figure's right hand originally held a parasol.  There is a light degree of surface dirt and the piece would benefit from a gentle cleaning.  There are light scratches and a small chip loss from the base of one foot.
