Haviland Limoges 1973 Commemorative Plate The Boston Tea Party . This is a Haviland Limoges, France porcelain plate entitled The Boston Party and designed by the French artist Remy Hetreau.. It is dated 1973. It is a lovely plate with scalloped edges. Done in bright blues, browns and reds and the 1 3/8" border is blue with white stars. On the top of the plate it reads 1773 Independence 1973. On the bottom it reads Boston Tea Party. On the back it reads Haviland Limoges France. It describes the incident of the Boston Tea Party of Dec. 16, 1773.. This is number two in a series of five plates depicting the major events in the American colonies that led to the Declaration of Independence. It is a lovely porcelain plate. Original packaging and in mint condition. Also has an information folder. Measures 9 1/2".
