Hastings Pottery Stoneware Teapot British Modernist with Bent Wood Handle

Unavailable

Hastings of England Pottery Teapot with a modernist brown and teal vertical pattern. The shape is mid-century modernist as well. The handle is a bamboo or rattan. The style and the markings on the bottom lead me to believe that is from the Hastings Pottery company. However the marking is very worn down & impossible to decipher with accuracy.

Hastings Pottery in England was started in 1956 by Bernard Cotes and Dennis Lucas.

The condition of this piece is very good. There big nicks or cracks. There is crazing to the glaze but that is normal. The crazing one the inside is really noticeable due to the staining from tea. The is a very teeny tiny fleabite on the spout lip. This teapot is extremely rare.
