Hargrave Socket Chisel 3/4 inch

$25.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a very nice .75" socket chisel believed to have been manufactured by Hargrave Tool Co. as it is marked on the back of the steel "H" and "FORGED STEEL".  Unlike most beveled edge chisels, this one has a nice smooth and polished radius that is in effect providing the clearance needed along the edges.  This rare chisel is in great shape, very good quality steel, sharp and ready to use.  A very nice hardwood handle, fits snug no damage, appears to be unused.  We do note that the Hargrave logo is usually inside a circle but we are fairly sure it was made in Cincinnati OH, possibly by a sister company name Cincinnati Tool Co. that did use the "H" logo on their tools at times.  Hargrave is the name of the 1901 era president of Cincinnati Tool Co..
