Antique Stoneware Wide-Mouth Jar 1800s Hand-Thrown Brown Glaze

$65.00
Quantity available: 1

Hand-thrown stoneware jar, brown glaze with darker drips. Mid-1800's. Single handle wide-mouth shape. Unglazed bottom and top rim. Numerous flaws that have been glazed over. Interesting indentations on bottom edge, looks like the piece may have dragged on the potter's wheel, leaving "swish" marks. Measures 9.5"h x 6.5"d at swell; 4.75"d opening in top. Most likely American use ware. No cracks. Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
