This is a good clean antique spoon auger bit w/hardwood T-handle. This type has a course thread lead screw and only one cutting edge (single side) to form the .46" diameter.  It's obvious this spoon auger has not been used in many years, though the cutting edge is fairly sharp it has some pitting on it and needs to be tuned up in order to use it effieciently.  It is 16" long overall, and 2.0" diameter.  The auger bit is not marked by the maker.  The center lead screw is in good condition.  We note some pitting, but is not rusty now and is overall in good shape, not damaged, straight.  The auger bit has a tapered square end that holds the bit securely in place when attached to the handle.  I have not tried to separate the two, as they are very firmly joined.  The auger bit has a .43" diameter main shaft.  The handle is also in good solid condition, no damage, some grain separation, and a few stress cracks, holding very snug, some light wear and minor dings, very strong and solid. The handle is 7.25" long.  A type auger bit/drill that we don't see very often these days!
