Hand-Carved Hardwood  African Lion Bookends  Ethnic Art .   They are hand carved in Africa and each one is from a solid block of wood of a very heavy and dense hard wood like ebony or ironwood and marked with some initials on the bottom as an "E"    The are 4 x 3.5 x 8 inches each  and are over 4 pound together  unboxed.    The condition is excellent.   They are actually darker then what the pictures show.  I had to lighten the pictures to show the details.
