Haida Johann Oertel Glass Vase with Stylized Birds Circa 1920

Unavailable

Our client's cylindrical vase decorated with stylized birds is attributed to the glass school in Haida, Bohemia in Austria (current day, Nový Bor, Czech Republic) and produced by Johann Oertel & Co, circa 1915-1920.  Made from colorless glass with ball cut, gold and black painting. Apparently unsigned.  7.25 x 4.5 x 4.5 in; 18.4 x 11.4 x 11.4 cm.

Designer is unknown.  It's style is reminiscent of the works by Dagobert Peche and Mathilde Flogl for the Wiener Werkstatte.
