Our client's very large portrait of a Japanese lady in kimono dress by the distinguished American portraitist, Greta Kempton (1903-1991), is mounted in a fine cassetta frame measuring 52.25 by 90.5 inches.  Stretcher measures 42 by 80 inches.

There are restorations in the upper right corner and retouching in the lower right.  There are red pigment that fluoresce.  Canvas has been relined. There is widespread craquelure.
