Vertical cover crease 1/3 of book length. 2 chips top of cover. 2 inch corner fold top right. External staple rust. Minor writing on cover (looks like pencil). Other than those mentioned defects the book would grade a 9.0. Amazing for a 1948 book. Pages and back cover very nice and well attached. No tears on staples ot anywhere else.  Professionally graded using Overstreet Grading Guide standards.
