Quantity available: 1

Offering this top quality box frame ice shave that could still be used to shave fine shavings of ice off a main ice block.  In the Victorian period this kitchen collectible would be used regularly.  The hinged top section of the box shave is marked in raised cast lettering "GILCHRIST NO. 78".  The shave blade has a double ended cutting edge, so it can be set for use in either direction.  The blade is steel, sharp and ready to use.  The 2 piece frame is made of aluminum alloy and is rust resistant, so there is no rust to report, no crack, no damage.
