German roemer in the form of an oversized goblet. Olive green blown glass with multicolored enamel hand-painted decoration, gold trim. Upper rim is ground and polished, stem is hollow all the way to the closed-in base. German verse on bowl loosely translates as "A certain wine, drank with lust, extends the soul, and strengthens the heart". Late 1800's. Measures 10"h x 5"d. Has a few minor flakes to the upper rim that were too small to photograph. Sold as is. Price recently reduced. Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
