Our charming bronze trophy in the form of a ladie's shoe is dated 1910 and apparently acknowledges the winner of the Tuesday Ball.  Inscription reads:

Fraulein Maria Schneider

z. frill Erg. an den Dienstags Ball 1910

Dr. Lulsdorff.

Measures 4.75 by 9.75 by 3 inches.

Trophies such as this were awarded at dance competitions on Shrove Tuesday (Fat Tuesday) during Fasching (Karneval) in Germany, known here and elsewhere around the world as Carnival, or Mardi Gras.
