Georgian Silver Salver London 1774 probably John Carter. The plain salver tray on three turned knuckle supports, the centre engraved with coat of arms surmounted with crest of cherubic boy grasping a dart and shield, gadroon shaped border. Diameter: 7 inches. Height: 1 inch. Weight: 294 grams. Although Carter's first mark was registered in 1776, there is evidence he was supplying silver to Parker & Wakelin from 1769 and is recorded as goldsmith 1768.
