Vintage NASA ERTS 1973 Photo Pair Genuine Satellite Consecutive Images Alaska
Pair of original NASA space program Kodak photo prints from the Earth Resources Technology Satellite, dated August 16 & 17, 1973. This was the first remote sensing satellite built by the Bendix Corporation, and launched in 1972 at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. It's purpose was to map the earth's natural resources, including geological features and mineral deposits. Prints are in consecutive order, and show a wide view of the Seward, Alaska region, near lattitude 59N/148W. Large format prints measure 20"w x 17.5" & 19". Some small edge tears and occasional bends, but generally good condition. Sold as is. Price reduced from 75.00. Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
