Pair 18th Century ( Louis XVI or Directoire Period ) Gilt Bronze Figural Candelabra

$3,800.00
Quantity available: 1

Our wonderful pair of French eighteenth century (likely late Louis XVI or Directoire period, 1795-1799) candelabra feature the finely sculpted and patinated figures of neoclassical females standing on round pedestals of white and bleu turquin marble with gilt bronze mounts, holding candelabra with three candle holders and taller central stems with chains connected to each candle arm.

Each 23.5 by 10.25 by 7.5 inches.

There are some small restorations to losses to the cylindrical white marble pedestals.  There is oxidation to the gilt surfaces, rubbing wear and scratches, all consistent with age and good care.  Both have recent professional restorations to affix the standards to the hands of the figures.  There are older restorations to where the candle arms and central stem originates.
