French Art Deco Chrome Plated Vase from French C.G.T. Oceanliner

This chrome-plated flower vase from CGT (Compagnie Generale Transatlantique) dates from circa 1930 and carries the CGT monogram. The base is weighted and carries the marks of the manufacturer, G. Halais of Paris. Measures 9" tall and has a diameter of 4.2" at the base. It is in good condition, with minor scratches, consistent with age. The is no mark of the designer. The silhouette is similar to a nickel-plated vase designed by Edgard Brandt and George Bastard for CGT, which has sold at major auction for as much as $5,000 each.
