Falconer Bronze Sculpture After Adolphe Martial Thabard (1831-1905)

Our wonderful bronze of a falconer after the French artist, Adolphe Martial Thabard (1831-1905) measures 41 by 15 by 11 inches and is in good condition.  Thabard won medals at the Paris Salon in 1863, 1868 and 1872.  He was awarded the Chevalier of the Legion d'Honneur in 1884, and this particular model achieved the silver medal at the Universelle Exposition in 1889.

There are some stains, abrasions, scratches and nicks, all consistent with age.
