This is a very nice vintage eyeglasses or spectacle hard case with spring loaded to close feature.  It is marked by the original optometrist in gold lettering "FRANK YOUNG JEWELER & OPTOMETRIST 102 S. MAIN ST. MT. VERNON O." and is also marked near that name with a patent date "PAT NOV.18.07" with a stamp pressed into the black leather.  It appears that the interior compartment with hold a set up to about 3.8" long x 1.1" wide.  The felt inside is also in good shape, purple in color, very strong spring hidden that keeps the lid closed.
