From the series designed by John Moyr Smith for Mintons based on Alfred, Lord Tennyson's poem "Idylls of the King", here is 'Guinevere'. The tile is printed in dark brown and raw umber on a buff field, signed, "Moyr Smith" in the tile. The tile is in very good condition but for several nibbles mainly along right edge and light surface wear. Finished in a bright, glossy glaze. A terrific image and, of course, from the same series as Lockett chose for the cover of his book. Please write with any questions you may have.
