This magnificent bronze bust by Emmanuel Villanis (1858-1914) is entitled La Sibylle.  Signed at the shoulder with title on socle, and Societed des Bronzes de Paris seal on the rear.  The work is referenced in Berman's Bronzes, Sculptors and Founders 1800-1930, volume 4, page 981.  Sibylle a mythical soothsayer and the one who warned Julius Caesar in Shakespeare's play.
