He was featured in three classic and now rare books of Townsend photographs. Sansone is also the subject a newly released book by John Massey 'American Adonis: Tony Sansone, the First Male Physique Icon', Universe, 2004. This image shows Sansone in all of his natural beauty, with Townsend's trademark soft-focus technique giving his model a dreamy, sculptural feel.
