Early Ball Jointed Composition Doll by Bester ~ Pretty

Very eearly all composition ball jointed doll made by Bester. She stands 17" tall. Has all fingers and all toes. She is strung well so she can be posed nicely. Has working sleep eyes that look like tin with celluloid. Eyes are set back a litle but still function properly. Original painted thick brow. She is wearing a human hair wig with pate' underneath. She is faintly marked on back of neck "Bester Doll Co" out of N.J. Has typical crazing from age and time. Paint split on left lower cheek. She wears a mommy made dress with slip underneath, vintage shoes and factory socks. Not a common doll to find everyday. Bester was not in business for a very long time and production was very limited during WW1. She was made to compete with the German bisque dolls that were successfully being produced and sold to many. Stands 17" tall. Display ready. C1919. will refund any shipping overage.
