Early Antique Ohio Tool Draw Knife

$35.00
Quantity available: 1
This is a good old draw knife marked "OHIO TOOL CO. WARRENTED STEEL" on the handle lead arm. It has been adapted for a special use many years ago, with an interesting contour to the cutting edge. I've seen several old draw knives with this style contour, just not sure what it was used for. It's in good shape, with evidence of rust pitting (no rust now) one small chunk taken out of the handle on the right side, that same handle also has a grain split in it, but is very solid, is actually tighter than the other handle with no crack in it. The cutting edge most likely hasn't been sharpened in 50-80 years and has the same patina as the rest of the tool. A good primitive tool! Size is 18" wide overall x 8" wide blade.
