A ONE & ONLY old Ritual Pole of the Leti people, carved from ONE SINGLE PIECE of hardwood tree trunk from Maluku Island Tanimbar featuring the typical Elders Tafu motifs. Splits and lines are due to natural aging, note a chipped area along the edges of the head, also the interior of the trunk is partially hollow running from top all the way to the base of the statue. Surely more beautiful in real life. Stand included. Circa 1950.
