Disston D-8 Hand-Saw 8 TPI Crosscut

$50.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a nice, clean 26" long blade, 8 point crosscut hand-saw. The blade no long has the Disstion etch on it but it is stamped "8" just below the handle on the steel (the teeth per inch) and the brass medallion logo reads "*H. DISSTON & SONS PHILADA * U.S.A. *" on the Cherry wood handle. Nice clean handle with some wear on the finish, polished and looks nice, solid, not cracked,  a few tiny chipped areas on the ears of the handle, also has some tiny specks of old paint here and there, minor dings, otherwise very clean overall. The handle fits tightly to the blade. The blade is about 98% straight, with a very minor wave, not bent, not kinked, with light staining and pitting, none bad enough to cause use problems, no missing teeth, but one chipped tooth noted and shown in the photo, about 99% sharpness, or very sharp and ready to use. This saw was sharpened, used a few times since and cuts just fine. A very good quality saw from the early 1930's era. A nice, clean, old skew back saw in good, useable condition!
