Craftsman Adjustable Throat Block Plane

Unavailable

This is an older, adjustable throat block plane marked "Craftsman 187.37052-A" on the cutter, and "U.S.A." on the inside bottom of the casting. It has an adjustable cutter depth and throat width, plus the lateral adjustment lever, all in very good working order. The cap cover design is a bit different on this one, but I like the way it holds the cutter, easy to make adjustment, but the threaded nut has to be completely removed in order to remove the cap cover. The cutter is set in the bed at 20 degrees, the cutter is sharp, plenty of stock on it, and ready to use. About 95% of the planes original paint is intact, some minor staining noted, it's bare metal surfaces are very clean. There is a no cracks, a few minor edge dings, otherwise very little wear. The adjustable throat works very smoothly. The cutter is 1 5/8" wide, and the plane is 6.2" long overall. A very clean plane!
