Cobbler's Double Shoelast Shoe Last Stand

$55.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a nice clean cast iron Cobbler's double shoe last, with provision for larger and small shoe sizes. This one is marked "WARRENTED" in raised cast lettering. This word was commonly used by tool makers in the mid to late 1800's era, which seems consistant with the type sand casting process that was used on this one, since the iron finished surface are not as smooth as later products, having a sort of light pitted surface, on pretty much all surfaces.  This one is 7.5" x 6.7" x 6.2" in size, and weight is 7 pounds. It is in very good condition, no cracks, no rust, clean. (It has been recently conditioned with veg. oil that makes it appear darker, even black). We don't see many of this style these days, most are the floor stand type. This type is rather rare. Sets nice and flat on your work bench.
