This bronze figurine sculpture by Demetre Chiparus is known as Hindu Dancer (Danseuse Indoue) and dates from circa 1925. This partial cold-painted bronze figurine rests upon its original marble pedestal which is signed by the artist along with the foundry name, Etling Paris. Measures:  22.25 by 9.25 by 8.25 inches (56.5 by 23.5 by 21.0 cm.  Overall good condition, consistent with age, with scratches, rubbing and oxidation to the bronze surface, including small patches of verdigris visible on the skirt, plus small losses to the stone pedestal including small restoration to underside at one corner.
