Our extraordinary, contemporary sculpture of Chinese lucky horses in spinach jade (nephrite, jade or jadeite), set upon stained wooden stand, measures a total of 47 inches across, 22.5 inches tall and 9 inches deep. Condition is good. There are some scratches and small losses to the top and sides of the stained wooden stand.
In the Chinese zodiac the horse is the seventh creature, and symbolizes strength, speed, power and perseverance. In Feng Shui, it is believed a jade carving of this kind may energize one's career, fame and luck, by placing it in the south corner of a room.
