This Anvil is made of Cast Iron. It is 12 1/2" long to the end of the Horn. The working face is 3 3/8" wide and it weighs 20 LB. I am 80 years old and I have never seen anything like this and neither has anyone I have shown it to. I am not a Black Smith but I have thought long and hard about how it is constructed and why. This is what I have come up with. Because it is hollow and has a Bayonet type mounting hole in the rear and a domed front cavity, I think it is made to be able to hook up a heat pipe from the bellows to keep the Anvil very hot so it can be used for Sweat Welding. If I am misgided in my assumpptions please let me know so I can correct my calling. The Anvil is in very good condition sans one missing mounting Ear. We do combine shipping cost but not to the West or East coast areas. The shipping for this item is $22.00.
