This very unique hand-blown bowl designed by Jan Johansson features a dark amber color with light green oak leaf design. Outer surfaces are perfectly smooth and the design appears to have been executed through the use of cased glass layers and possibly engraving. Johansson has been designing sculptural objects for Orrefors since 1969, and his works are represented in the collections of the National Museum of Fine Art in Stockholm, the Rohasska Museum of Applied Art in Gothenburg, and the Corning Museum of Glass.
