Carpenter's Slick Chisel 2 inch Antique

Unavailable

Offering this quality antique, 1.9" carpenter's slick/chisel which is not marked by the original maker. Although this carpenter slick has some dings and pitting on the steel surfaces, it is in mostly useable shape on the bottom cutting edge area with pitting on less than 10% of the bottom surface. The edge is sharp, could use some light honing. The steel is 10.00" long overall, 2" back from the cutter is the high grade laminated steel section. The handle is solid hardwood with minor grain separations, some wear, but all held together firmly by the iron ring and socket of the chisel, fits the socket tightly. The handle extends about 3.51" from the socket of the slick.  A good useable heavy duty chisel!
